The Mint Green Galaxy Note 3 Neo wasn’t the only new color flavor we found at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali. The original Galaxy Note 3 phablet had no less than three new paintjobs showcased – the Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red.
While the red Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the actually the only new base color, the accent Rose Gold editions deserve our attention as well.
So, let’s start with the Rose Gold White and Rose Gold Black editions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Those two are based on the original white and black models, but come with Rose Gold rims on the sides and the front of the device.
As you can see the gold hue has replaced entirely the silver paint from the sides, the front earpiece grille, the Home key, the camera’s rim and even the top of the S-Pen.
Both Rose Gold editions are already available in various markets and we hope they’ll go global eventually.
The Merlot Red Galaxy Note 3 is a brand new flavor keeping the silver accent, as the original models, but dipping the entire battery cover and front glass in red. Surely many will love this new vibrant look of the phablet, but even more certainly many will hate the Merlot Red Note 3 for going too far.
The S-Pen of the Merlot Red edition is also painted in red, with the familiar silver accent at the top.
Anyway, it is good to have a choice when buying a new phone. We really hope Samsung starts offering such colorful options since the launch though – five months later means much fewer people will get to appreciate those new offerings.
